6.CableCar Experience: Off the Beaten Path Mexico City Walking Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 11 reviews · 4 to 5 hours (approx.) · from $50

Ride the Cablebús over Iztapalapa, eat street tacos, sip pulque, and use the Metro with a local guide in a small group.

“Our guide Lionel was fantastic. The tour lived up to everything promised and then some. Lionel showed us around Iztapalapa, where he grew up, and really taught us about the history of the area and through it the history of Mexico City. Riding the CableBus to see how most Mexico City residents actually live was fascinating, from the rooftop murals to the sounds of the city and the multiple libraries housed in decommissioned 737s. Trying Pulque was a treat and the peppermint-flavored version was my favorite. Very delicious! This tour is a must-do for anyone who wants to safely visit outside the tourist areas of central Mexico City.”

Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Castle & Cable Car Tour

Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Castle & Cable Car Tour - Los Pinos The Former Presidential Residence, Short Visit, Big Meaning

7.Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Castle & Cable Car Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 10 reviews · 5 hours 50 minutes (approx.) · from $65

Ride the Chapultepec cable car, visit Los Pinos, the Anthropology Museum, Chapultepec Castle, and the Angel of Independence in a small-group tour.

“Our tour guide Roberto was organized and informative. I think the tour tried to include too many activities, making it a very long day. I would recommend focusing on the Chapultepec castle and the Anthology museum, both of which are close to each other and fascinating. Maybe skip Los Pinos and the cable car, but that might just be me. The only other issue is that the tour itinerary advises that they pick up and drop off at your hotel, but in fact you have to find your own transportation back at the end of the tour.”

Highly recommend Daniel as a guide, his English is excellent and his knowledge of Mexico City made this tour a really unique experience.”
