“Stephanie was an excellent guide. She grew up in these markets and knows everybody - we even saw her Dad who owns a stall here! The tour was very well organised. We got to try all kinds of soup, tamales, tacos, quesadillas, juices, tropical fruit and even a smorgasbord of insects! The tour finished with a trip to a huge bakery “take what you want” Stephanie said passing us a huge silver tray each (all included in the price). The tour surpassed my expectations. Go on this tour! It’s great value and you will have access to a whole range of Mexican food. Oh, and a side trip to visit…”

I started the tour with a certain (un-educated) perspective and left with a totally different view. The people are wonderful...the food is exceptional and the experience is totally unique. Nelly was a prize!”

The day culminated in a wild and unforgettable mezcal tasting featuring exotic additions like scorpions and wasps. It was a truly immersive cultural experience and the best way to spend a day in the city. Highly recommend the tour and especially Iván!”

We asked for a refund but were denied by the local tour compamy, Amigo Tours. We’ve appealed our request for reimbursement and hope to receive positive news. It sounded like a fun tour.”
